Mole Valley Issued the Local Plan 2020-2039 in October 2024

Within this document. POLICY H1: HOUSING DELIVERY 1. Includes the following target, The housing requirement for Mole Valley is to deliver at least 6,381 additional homes within the 2020-2039 plan period (336 homes each year).

It goes on to say:

The housing requirements for the designated Neighbourhood Areas within the District for the plan period (2020-2039) are as follows:

• Ashtead - 652 net new dwellings

These housing requirements will be delivered through the allocated development sites in the plan and through windfall development.

As Mole Valley District Council has included 2 plots of land on Ermyn Way in the Local Plan 2020-2039 and developers have already commenced the early stages of applying for planning consent, the ARA is keen to understand resident’s views on the proposals.

IT SEEMS ASHTEAD’S FULL COMPLIMENT FOR THE PERIOD TO 2039 WILL BE MET IF THESE TWO SITES ALONE ARE APPROVED.

There are 2 plots involved that are of concern to the ARA.

1.0 Plot DS1 Land South of Ermyn Way.

MVDC has included an allocation of UP TO 270 homes on this land which is within the green belt.

2.0 Plot DS2 Demolition and redevelopment of Ermyn House the office building formerly the HQ or Exxon Mobil.

MVDC has included an allocation of up to 140 dwellings on this site. However, the developer has submitted paperwork suggesting they are considering increasing this to 360 dwellings.

This plot is already built upon and also has a large hard surfaced car park.

Please complete the short survey below so that the ARA may consider and reflect the majority views of those who respond in our communications with MVDC planning department.
