Linden House Surgery (Part of the Ashlea Medical Practice) wins CIL funding for new Surgery

£2,655,408 of SCIL funding has also been approved for fitting out a unit in the proposed Bull Hill development and relocating an existing Leatherhead GP Surgery, Ashlea Medical Practice; the applicant. SCIL is the Strategic Community Infrastructure Levy.. (See below)

Looking to be delivered in 2032, the proposed unit has been identified as the ideal location to house a new purpose-built GP Surgery, more than doubling the size of its existing premises. Once the work and move have been completed, patients will benefit from improved access and a better experience with an increased range of health benefits.

Although the outcome of the planning application for the Bull Hill and Swan Centre site remains unknown, getting funding ensures that any new infrastructure can be provided quickly for the benefit of existing and new patients.

The purpose of the Strategic Community Infrastructure Levy (SCIL) is to help the delivery of infrastructure projects which will benefit communities and support Local Plan-led development in the district.

For more information about the SCIL programme, eligibility criteria and guidance about how to apply for grant funding, please visit MVDC’s website
