Complaint made to GTR/Southern
Despite repeated requests to Southern Customer Services the local Manager has failed to meet the ARA on site. We highlighted the problem of the repeated flooding in this area last year.
Initially the Manager replied saying the adjoining land was higher than the car park and we supplied photographs proving this was incorrect and requesting an on-site meeting. This failed to materialise and now the situation has deteriorated and the footpath is impassable.
We believe the lack of adequate drainage in the station car park and the slope of the ground towards the footpath means that water runs off the tarmac into the wooded area and eventually floods the footpath. We have now escalated the situation as a formal complaint to Southern/GTR.
The new pond dug by Mole Valley Council as a solution to this problem appears to be serving no purpose and doesn't act as a solution and at the moment is only half full.
