Closures announced 12th June 2026

Network Rail have a full road closure planned for 00:30 – 05:00 Friday 12th June 2026 to maintain the level crossing barriers, signals, cables & telecommunications units.

Due to this, residents would not be able to gain access via the level crossing except in an emergency. Residents could park their cars at the station car park. To avoid receiving a penalty charge the practice now is to send APCOA Parking the car registration details of those residents who wish to use the station car park. They need to send this ideally several weeks before the road closure or no later than 24 hours after the road closure. You could send this onto the ARA and we will advise Newtork Rail who in turn will advise APCOA.

Network Rail have a new Digital Lineside Notification System where residents can sign up to receive email alerts on upcoming events like the above. It is hoped in the future this can be extended to mobile phone alerts and that notification of a Crossing Barrier failure can be included.
