Further erosion of Ashtead Green Belt – and the implications this may bring. Fire and Safety concerns remain
Despite the best efforts of the ARA and your local Councillors, Mole Valley’s Development Management Committee (DMC), on the recommendation of the Planning Officers, voted 7 in favour with 3 against at the meeting on 3rd September, to approve the development of the BESS in Ashtead.
The valid and powerful objections raised by the ARA, Ashtead Councillors and many residents which we believed to be of huge significance to the application, were simply ignored by the majority of Councillors who sit on the DMC.
