Outdoor (Lawn Green) & Indoor Bowls have received a great deal of attention in the last few years with the Commonwealth Games and the recent World Indoor Bowls Championships televised on the BBC in January. A particularly impressive shot from last years World Championships actually went viral!

Bowls is a great game for all ages and Ashtead benefits from a thriving outdoor club just off Woodfield Lane (behind the cricket club). Ashtead Bowls Club is over 100 years old and is recognised as having one of the best outdoor greens in the area. Members enjoy excellent facilities including a Bar, an indoor “short mat” and social events throughout the year.
