SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL IN EXERCISE OF ITS POWERS UNDER SECTION 14(2) OF the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers hereby gives notice that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in that length of Grove Road (D2502), Ashtead as extends from its junction with (A24) The Street to its junction with (D2502) Albert Road.

This Notice is required to facilitate footway repair works, to be carried out by, or on behalf of Surrey County Council within the length of road described in this notice. The Notice will commence on 28 August 2026 for a period of up to 5 days, however, the works are anticipated to be carried out within 2 days; Friday, between the hours of 6pm and 11pm and Saturday, between the hours of 7am to 4pm.  

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services and residents will be maintained at all times, as well as pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. All other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the signed diversion route.

Alternative Route- Grove Road, Dene Road, Park Lane, and A24 The Street, or this route in reverse.
