Station Flower beds finished - for the moment!

Eight intrepid volunteers came out on Sunday (12th May) to  spread a deep layer of mulch across the four flower beds in the station Car Park. This will, we hope, suppress the weeds and keep moisture in the soil. The mulch was supplied by Clare of Mole Valley Mulch who generously gave us a very good discount and stayed to help transport and spread the mulch. Clare supplies mulch for gardens in mini bags or loose. Thanks to the following good people:-Steve, Jenny, Colin, Frank, Marga...

Green Lane Crossing - The saga continues!

What now you ask?At the Local Committee back in 2021 Councillors agreed that the Definitive Statement should be changed to match the Definitive Map so that it showed the Crossing as a Public Right of Way. It has been so for decades going back to even before the railway was built in the 19th Century. Good news I hear you say.Yes it was, but despite that ruling the decision still had to be put out to public consultation where everyone and anyone had the right to object to the decision. Delays, all...
