SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL IN EXERCISE OF ITS POWERS UNDER SECTION 14(2) OF the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers hereby gives notice that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in that length of Barnett Wood Lane (D2507) Ashtead as extends from its junction with (D2621) Oakfield Road Green to its junction with (D2535) Church Road.

Alternative Route: Barnett Wood Lane, Woodfield Lane, (A24) The Street, (A24) Leatherhead Road, Ottways Lane, Agates Lane, and Barnett Wood Lane, or this route in reverse.

This Notice is required to facilitate carriageway maintenance works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council within the length of road described in this notice. The Notice will commence on 12 August 2024, for a period of up to 5 days, however, and works are anticipated to be carried out within 3 days, between the hours of 10am and 4pm.  Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, all other vehicular traffic, including emergency service vehicles, will be maintained via the diversion route.
