Car Parks

Thanks to information obtained by our local Councillors we have now been advised that free parking in Council car parks will be available on the following Saturdays: -

Saturday 2nd December

Saturday 9th December

Saturday 16th December

And Tuesday 5th December 3pm onwards for the Ashtead Traders Christmas Fair.

We did query why 23rd December was excluded from the arrangements. In the reply from the Leader, Stephen Cooksey, it seems the dates above were the preferred option from Bookham and Leatherhead, but when asked for comments from the Ashtead Village Traders the email from the Council was never received and the Traders assumed their earlier choices of 9th, 16th and 23rd were valid. Nevertheless it is disappointing that our own Ashtead Independent Councillors were not included in this consultation.

Epsom Scouts Post arrangements for Christmas 2023

For the 22nd year 7th Epsom Scouts Group will be running their Christmas Card delivery service to post codes KT17, KT18, KT19 and KT21.  Unfortunately there is no delivery to Leatherhead, Headley and Tadworth. 

Last year 4660 cards were delivered raising over £2,000 with a large proportion once again coming from Ashtead residents. The post boxes will on site from Monday 27th November until Thursday 14th December with deliveries commencing the following day.

The cost is 50p per card of any size (KIV 2nd class post is 75p).  Simply bundle your envelopes along your payment, preferably cheque and take them to one of the following collection points:-

·         M&S, The Street

·         McColls Newsagent, The Street

·         Word on the Street, The Street

·         Tesco Express, Craddocks Parade

·         Garys Greengrocer, Barnett Wood Lane
