We have received the following from Surrey County Council Highways: -
"Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in: - a) The entire length of D2590 Stonny Croft, Ashtead. b) That length of D2550 Darcy Road, Ashtead that extends from its junction with D2590 Stonny Croft, for a distance of 50m. This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to install traffic calming, a flat top table to support the 20mph speed limit and/or to carry out resurfacing and/or improvement and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7am and 3:30pm, within 2 days of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 19 August 2022. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained via Berry Meade, Bramley Way and Darcy Road.
