Like London buses - they come along in threes
Having just had a closure sprung on us with no warning, we have now been advised (2nd hand again) that the Crossing will be closed overnight for three nights commencing 5th July for three nights. Closure will be from 00.30 until 05.00 each night.
Surrey Highways confirm advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times by operatives on site. (Although the sentence implies there will be traffic signs, we have confirmed with Highways this will be a full closure.)
With regard to use of the Station Car Park we have contacted Centurion and Network Rail to see if this has been arranged. For the closures in August (see separate Blog entry) it has been confirmed the ANPR will be switched off.
