The worst section of the Leatherhead By-pass was scheduled for repair by the County Council in June, with overnight closures. This has had to be postponed until August. The works are described as 'fine milling' a new technique for concrete base roads as described in https://www.surreycc.gov.uk/ro...
Works were previously scheduled in April 2021 and June 2022 but the contractor at the time was unable to complete due to the thickness of the layers above the concrete base.
There have been 'false starts' on this road and confusion with the Leatherhead By-Pass, but the new date for commencement of the works is now August 2022. Highways have been filling gaps but this is a temporary fix and in August the milling will take place and a new full surface laid.
