Information for Customers
Information is available directly on our websites. Downloadable timetables for the duration of the timetable will be available from this weekend.
Journey planners such as www.nationalrail.co.uk will be updated as follows:
- Week commencing Monday 18 January – available from Sunday 17 January
- Following weeks – available from the Saturday for the week ahead
The reason journey planners are being updated on a weekly basis is because of a limitation of the short-term information system. All journeys for future travel are highlighted with a “check closer to the date” notice, as are ticket sale sites. We do not anticipate further changes at this point, but as always and especially under current circumstances, we are reminding customers to check before travelling.
Understanding the timetable changes of the 18 January 2021
Train services are being reduced to ensure that journeys are as reliable as possible for those travelling at a time when railway staff are affected by coronavirus, and to reflect low customer demand.
With customer demand stable at approximately 14% of January 2020 levels, we are confident that there will be more than enough space on services, but we recognise that this timetable will mean change for some peoples’ journeys. All stations will remain served, with the exception of Birkbeck, which has nearby Tramlink services, and Beckenham Junction, which will continue to be served by Southeastern services.
