Saturday 20th July 2019 - War and Peace in Surrey - 1914-1919. FREE ENTRY. 11am - 4.30pm at Dorking Halls, Dorking, RH4 1SG. Join other residents to explore Surrey’s wartime people and communities. Browse our exhibitions, listen to talks, and experience the sights and sounds of wartime Surrey through film, a sound installation, re-enactments and children’s activities. Saturday 27th July 2019 - Our local Fishing Club is offering Free Fishing for all the Family During National Fishing Month. Leatherhead and District Angling Society are holding their annual Open Day at Long Copse Ponds located at the corner of Eastwick Drive and Spring Grove, Bookham KT22 9PD. Everything is FREE; the Club provide all the tackle and bait plus, for this event you don’t even need a licence! Senior club members will be on-hand to teach the basics to beginners, as well as pass on tips to the more experienced. Reduced membership packages will be available on the day, from Junior to Family memberships. No need to book, just turn up between 10am and 5pm. Due to the popularity of this event, fishing sessions will be limited to a maximum 2 hours per person/family. Monday July 29th to Saturday August 3rd 2019 - Ashtead Art Group are having their annual exhibition at the APMH. There is a reception to which all are invited on the 29th at 1930 and this year a special category of local Surrey scenes.

Saturday 3rd August 2019 - Soundbytes One Day POP-UP CHOIR. 10am-3.30pm. Sing songs in harmony in the beautiful grounds of Manor House School. Open to all - experienced singers and newbies alike! Sunday 15th September 2019 - Ashtead Running Group and Ashtead 10k. Ashtead Running Group (ARG) was formed in 2004 and has been exploring the paths and byways of Ashtead and the surrounding countryside ever since. The Group has organised the Ashtead 10k and 2k Fun Run every September since 2006 - with the kind permission of the Corporation of the City of London and the Ashtead Common Rangers - and has now raised over £10,000 for charity, mainly Rianna’s Fund. This year’s Ashtead 10k and 2k Fun Run (‘Britain’s Greenest Race’) is on Sunday 15 September and all local runners are welcome to take part! For more details: www.ashteadrunning.net

 Ashtead Choral Society's rehearsals take place at the APMH every Monday night between September and June from 8-10pm. This includes a coffee/tea break and a chance to mingle. Every Tuesday - Ashtead Running Group was formed in 2004 and has been exploring the paths and byways of Ashtead and the surrounding countryside ever since. The small and friendly group meets at the front Woodman Pub every Tuesday at 7.30, running at around 8-minute per mile pace..

The Arts Society Ashtead meets every third Tuesday of the month (except August) in the Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall. Doors open at 9.30 for coffee. Expert and entertaining lecturers (10.30 -11.30 approx.) showcase the whole range of the fine, visual and performing arts. Guests welcome. On the last Tuesday of every month, the Police hold a surgery for local residents in Ashtead at St George's Centre, Barnett Wood Lane from 10am until 11am.

Thursday weekly at the APMH - Ashtead Over 60's Lunch Club meets in the Ralli Room for a freshly prepared lunch. Doors open at 10.30 for tea and biscuits. Lunch is served at 12.30 and consists of a piping hot main course and hot or cold pudding with custard (or ice cream ) if you like it. A cup of tea is then served for those who wish to sit around and chat for a little longer.

1st Friday of each month - Soup lunch held at St Michael's Church Hall, the Marld, Ashtead. Homemade soup, bread and pudding served with tea & coffee between 12 noon and 1.30pm, all for £5 in aid of Pricess Alice Hospice, CAFOD and BESOM.

2nd Friday of each month - Village Market, Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall, Woodfield Lane, KT21 2BE. 9.00am to 12.30pm except Christmas special in November which is 9am to 3pm. No market in August.
January 11th, February 8th, March 8th, April 12th, May 10th, June 14th, July 12th, September 13th, October 11th, November 8th (Christmas Special), December 13th. Gifts,plants,cards,craftedgoods,clothes,cakes,books,haberdashery,jewellery, collectables and much more.

1st Friday quarterly starting 1st March 2018. The Friends of the Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall will be holding their usual quarterly dinners at the Hall. As usual the timing will be 6.30 for 7.00 p.m. at a cost of £22 for each three course dinner. This will, in each case, be followed by an entertainment, the details of which will be advised nearer each date.
