Thursday 6th February 2020 - Public Meeting re the proposed Local Plan. Starts 7.30pm at the APMH Main Hall. Your local Independent Councillors will be there. Come and hear what is proposed for Ashtead. In addition see what's proposed for Leatherhead as adjacent sites will have a profound effect on Ashtead. We urge local residents to attend this meeting so they can raise pertinent questions when they attend the Drop-In Session organised by Mole Valley Council on Wednesday 19th February.

Wednesday 19th February 2020 - Drop-in Session organised by Mole Valley Council to present the draft Local Plan. 3pm to 7pm at the APMH. Your chance to question Officers on the proposals that could mean a dramatic change to Ashtead of the future. It is recommended that residents attend the Public Meeting organised by the Residents' Association on Thursday 6th February (see above)

Friday 6th March 2020 - Quarterly dinner run by The Friends of Ashtead Village Hall. Further dinners are scheduled to be held on Friday 3rd July, Friday 2nd October and Friday 3rd December. On the 6th of March, the menu will be roast gammon with a parsley and cider sauce, roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables, followed by deep apple pie and custard, and then cheese and biscuits with celery and grapes, concluding with tea/coffee and mints. The speaker will be Terry Johnson talking on “The Trial of Christine Keeler”. There will be a fully licensed bar and a raffle. All proceeds go towards the benefit of the APMH. Tickets, at £23 per head, will be available 10.30 – 12.00 from the Hall’s office on Wednesday and Thursday mornings in February and from the Friday coffee morning sessions in the Hall’s Ralli Room, also during February.

Saturday 28th March 2020 - Ashtead Choral Society, in their 70th season, will be performing Mendelssohn's Elijah - one of the greatest oratorios ever written. The concert in the Dorking Halls at 7.30pm on Saturday 28th March 2020 will be conducted by Andrew Storey with Kent Sinfonia. Soloists are Helen Meyerhoff (soprano), Susan Legg (mezzo), Adam Tunnicliffe (tenor), Phil Tebb (bass) and Lily Kemp (youth).

Every Tuesday - Ashtead Running Group was formed in 2004 and has been exploring the paths and byways of Ashtead and the surrounding countryside ever since. The small and friendly group meets at the front Woodman Pub every Tuesday at 7.30, running at around 8-minute per mile pace..

Thursday weekly at the APMH - Ashtead Over 60's Lunch Club meets in the Ralli Room for a freshly prepared lunch. Doors open at 10.30 for tea and biscuits. Lunch is served at 12.30 and consists of a piping hot main course and hot or cold pudding with custard (or ice cream ) if you like it. A cup of tea is then served for those who wish to sit around and chat for a little longer.
