ASHTEAD RESIDENTS' ASSOCIATION
Colin Chatfield has e mailed the web site with the photos above and has asked for assistance on the following: -
"Does
anyone else remember the acorns falling on the tin roof of St. Michaels old hut
during Mass? And who recalls so vividly the dance around the bonfire on
the common opposite the pond and Craddocks Parade in the 1945 victory
celebrations.
I am also interested to hear from anyone who went to St Andrews Convent school
in The Grange in the period 1945-1947 and remembers Sister Angela. My older
brother Martin Chatfield started his school life at the Knoll building."
